When my couples and I start their engagement session planning – I often ask if there are any areas or activities that are significant to them as a couple. When Christine suggested a bunch of fun spots on Capitol Hill I was immediately down for their city engagement session.
Christine and Eric met in Arizona at Old Navy – they were both attending ASU at the time. Fast forward 8 years and here they are in Seattle, living on Capitol Hill, soaking in as much of the Seattle sunshine as possible before the grey winter months set in.
We started with a drink at Artusi. Up to this point Christine and I had only chatted via email and over the phone. It was so nice sitting and talking with Eric and Christine, learning more about their wedding plans (which are AWESOME) and about what they both do for a living.
Words literally cannot express how excited I am for their wedding this October. They’re getting married in the city at Mr. West with a simple, small ceremony and then a bigger reception later in the evening at the same venue. I LOVE that Eric and Christine are planning their wedding THEIR way. These two are super genuine, and I cannot wait to connect with them more as they finalize their wedding plans over the next couple months.
At the end of our time together I got into my car (aka minivan because mom life.) and just grinned ear to ear. I love meeting good people.
A few side notes about this session:
- I AM LOVING THE COLOR. The graffiti wall, Chophouse Row, the late summer sun. Everything was so pretty.
- I LOVE that Christine and Eric sent over a list of spots they like to hang out as a couple. All of these locations mean something to them. I JUST LOVE THAT.
- I (clearly) love the word love. And I’m okay with that.
