Sam and Jason’s Trinity Tree Farm wedding was one that will stay fresh in my mind for a long time. The PNW was blanketed in smoke from the Canada wildfires, and because of that, the air was heavy – but spirits weren’t!
Sam and Jason met at work – they worked in different departments of a small company, and the summer after she started working there, he extended an invitation to a bunch of them to go whitewater rafting, since he used to be a guide. Interestingly enough, I learned during the toasts at Sam and Jason’s wedding that Jason brought out a more adventurous side in Sam. He had her excited about doing outdoor activities that she hadn’t done before like rock climbing and whitewater rafting. I guess you can say that Jason brought out a bit of an adventurous side in me during their engagement session, too. You can learn all about that and see more of Sam and Jason’s adventure engagement session at Franklin Falls here.
Nearly five years later, Jason took Sam to the Herbfarm under the guise of an early birthday dinner. (It was the “Dinner for Red Heads” for all of you Herbfarm fans out there – one of my favorite menus!) He proposed in the wine cellar, amongst Julia Child’s chef’s jacket and hanging charcuterie!
This Trinity Tree Farm Wedding was the absolute definition of simplistic sophistication. Everything was timeless and beautiful – just the way we all hope our weddings turn out. (Am I right?!) Samantha and Jason selected a neutral color palette of powdery blues, navy, mint, and white for their wedding day. Hand lettered elements (done by Sam and her sister, the MOH, themselves!) were featured throughout the day – from the stunning hand designed invitation suite, to the place-cards, to the embossed menu cards at each place setting . Their guestbook was a scrapbook of polaroids guest took at the wedding with handwritten notes of congratulations. Jason brewed beer with friends to have served at the event, and favors carried through their love of beer with pint glasses etched with their wedding crest. (The same custom crest that adorned their wedding invitations and guestbook!) Fragrant florals from from Down to Earth Snoqualmie were everywhere – draping the guestbook and place-card display, ceremony program table, ceremony altar, and different centerpieces at each table in beautiful silver urns and vases. Even the dessert table was perfection – four different pies from A La Mode Pies styled in the most charming way! Each pie had a hand lettered label, Key Lime, Strawberry Rhubarb, Mexican Chocolate, and French Apple… and each pie had its ingredients scattered about the table, framed perfectly with florals. Even the dinner display, put together by Sunshine’s All Natural, was stunning. Delicious locally sourced organic food prepared and displayed beautifully.
But it wasn’t just the details at Sam and Jason’s Trinity Tree Farm Wedding that were amazing – it was also the people there. Sam and Jason surrounded themselves with their core support group of friends in their bridal party, and they were all so welcoming and helpful throughout the day. Children were everywhere (I love weddings with kids!) and Sam and Jason’s love for family was as present as ever.
Their first look included an exchange of wedding gifts to be worn during the day: Jason gifted Sam a gorgeous gold bracelet with her new monogram, while Sam gifted Jason custom cufflinks with their wedding date in roman numerals. (I am a sucker for this since my wedding band is a tattoo of our wedding date in roman numerals, too!)
Comments make my day! Leave some love for Samantha and Jason’s incredible The Barn at Trinity Tree Farm wedding!
